Chatham Area Recreation Project (CARP) to present "The Alchemist"

CHATHAM, NY - The Chatham Area Recreation Project, known as CARP, will present "The Alchemist", written by Ben Jonson, Sunday, July 20,2025, beginning at 4:00 p.m. at Crellin Community Park (located at 2940 NY-66, Chatham, NY 12037).

The play is put on by Will Kempe's Players, a theatre community in Troy, NY producing works done by William Shakespeare and Shakespeare's contemporaries.

"The Alchemist" is a satirical comedy that's focused on a group of con artists operating during a plague outbreak in London during the 1600s.

Admission is free and the production is for all ages to attend. Ice cream treats and bottles of water will be available for purchase during the event.
